Embedded QA Engineer (based in Dnipro or Warsaw) (вакансія неактивна)

We are seeking an experienced Embedded QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of camera devices operating in controlled temperature environments (coolers). This role focuses on validating image quality, device performance, and system stability under various environmental conditions. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure the client’s camera solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance in cold storage applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for embedded camera devices operating in cooler environments;
• Perform comprehensive image quality testing across different lighting conditions, temperatures, and device configurations;
• Conduct environmental testing to validate camera performance in cold temperature ranges and varying humidity levels;
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware/software issues in embedded camera systems
• Document test procedures, results, defects, and quality metrics in detail;
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and software development teams to identify and resolve issues;
• Validate camera performance across different operating temperatures and recovery from extreme conditions;
• Participate in design reviews and provide QA input during product development phases.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in QA/testing of embedded systems or hardware devices;
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and firmware testing methodologies;
• Hands-on experience with logs;
• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters);
• Understanding of environmental testing standards and procedures;
• Knowledge of communication protocols used in embedded systems (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;
• Experience with performance testing and optimization of embedded devices;
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar);
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Linux/RTOS embedded environments;
• Experience with Machine Learning algorithm testing;
• Knowledge of power consumption testing and analysis for battery-operated devices.
