We are looking for a skilled Node.js Developer to join our team working on a modern financial platform. You’ll be part of a product-focused environment where reliability, performance, and secure architecture are key.
The project involves a 50/50 split between Node.js and Go services, providing an excellent opportunity to grow in both areas.
Tech stack you’ll work with:
- Languages & Runtimes: Node.js (Fastify, Bun), Go, TypeScript.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis.
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Docker, Bazel, HashiCorp Vault, Tailscale.
- Observability: Grafana, Prometheus.
- Protocols & APIs: gRPC, Protobuf, REST.
- Tooling & Frameworks: Prisma, Inngest, CI/CD.
- Monitoring & Developer Tools: Alchemy.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Go.
- Build high-performance APIs and microservices using Fastify and gRPC.
- Work with infrastructure tools like Docker, Bazel, Vault, and Tailscale to ensure secure and efficient delivery.
- Integrate and work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other supporting systems.
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders in CET timezone, ensuring timely and independent delivery of features.
- Monitor and optimize performance with tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
- Work with documentation and contribute to a robust codebase, extending existing solutions and evolving architecture.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Node.js.
- Experience with Fastify, Prisma, or similar frameworks/tools.
- Solid understanding of backend architecture and system design.
- Exposure to Go or strong willingness to work with it (approx. 50% of workload).
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis in production environments.
- Familiarity with gRPC/Protobuf and API integration.
- Comfortable working independently, including with legacy codebases.
- Upper-Intermediate level of English for daily communication.
- Ownership mindset and strong self-management skills — you’ll be the primary backend developer on the project.
