Power BI developer

Virtuace on behalf of our client — American insurance company is looking for a Power BI developer to join our team. Client is a global specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance that has more than $110 billion USD in total assets along with $17 billion USD in net assets.

Responsibilities:
— Develop and maintain analytics solutions using Power BI Report Server;
— Define and document setup and configuration parameters;
— Define and follow Power BI development best practices;
— Design and implement analytics solution architecture POCs;
— Create and maintain Power Pivot models, datasets and dataflows using best practices;
— Provide system support for the Power BI Report Server environment (application administration for both the development and production environments);
— Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution.

Required skills:
— 3+ years of experience with Power BI tool (data modelling, DAX, data visualization skills, architecture) and other BI tools;
— Strong knowledge of SQL, experience with RDBMS (preferably, MS SQL Server): stored procedures, functions, indexes, etc;
— Knowledge and experience with design and architecture of DWH, ETL, OLAP;
— Interest in data and data technologies.

Will be a plus:
— Experience with other BI tools (IBM Cognos BI, SSRS, SSAS and others).
