We invite a Middle DevOps Engineer to join the VeliSports product team.

VeliSports is a cutting-edge platform for operators aiming to deliver their customers an unparalleled omnichannel sports betting experience. Our product team tailors diverse betting options to individual preferences.

In this role you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to Design, Develop, Extend, Deploy and Support web service (API) applications written in ASP.NET & ASP.NET Core
• Deploy, Maintain, Support & Monitor Microsoft SQL Server database
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft IIS for web application hosting
• Deploy, Maintain, Support & Monitor Memcached for caching data and improving application performance
• IaaC & Configuration management: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and team’s internal standards
• Debug, test, and fix issues in the product (from ops side)
• Participate in launching projects into production in the early stage, ensuring seamless deployment and monitoring for any potential issues
• Collaborate with other co-workers to deliver high-quality software
• Create and maintain project documentation
• Periodically review the code base and suggest improvements
• Follow your direct manager’s and the PM’s instructions and attend teamwork meetings regularly.
• Taking part in environment and architecture planning
• Automation of CI/CD and other processes on a project
• Optimization of existing environments and structures
• Supporting existing environments
• Consulting the development team on infrastructure-related questions
• Set system metrics to be monitored based on business requirements
• Build strong relationships and integrate within DevOps team and the DevOps culture

Skills and experience you will need:

• Proven experience in AppsOps for C# ASP.NET & ASP.NET Core
• Proficiency in deployment, support & maintenance Microsoft SQL Server for database (audit users, etc)
• Strong knowledge of IIS configuration and management
• Familiarity with Docker for both Windows (WSL 1 and 2) & Linux containers
• Familiarity with Command-Line interactive tools (bash/zsh/PowerShell/etc.)
• Proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on AWS networking and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in AWS automation and scripting using tools like AWS CLI, AWS SDKs
• Experience with Managed Container Services (ECS, EKS, and Fargate)
• Deep understanding of Docker concepts and Docker/Docker-compose usage
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Practical experience with configuration management tools (Ansible)
• Good knowledge and understanding of web and app technology/servers (Apache, Nginx, etc)
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins
• Familiarity with Redis, Memcache for caching and performance optimization
• Broad experience with Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with leading monitoring, logging, and tracing platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jaeger, Sentry) to ensure comprehensive visibility into infrastructure and application health
• Knowledge of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
• Very good understanding of source version control flows for highly available delivery (Git)
• Excellent researching, problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
• English, at least on the Professional Working Proficiency level

Would be a plus:

• Working experience in iGaming related field (especially sports book solution provider) will be a very big advantage
• Familiarity with CloudFlare
• Understanding of microservice architecture
• Familiarity with Event Sourcing or Event queue systems
• Familiarity with protocol buffers
• Strong understanding of infrastructure components and how they are architected in AWS.
