Swarmer is a Vendor-Agnostic Autonomy for Coordinated Robots. We develop AI-managed collaborative autonomy to make teams of connected drones and autonomous systems smart, efficient, and self-improving over time.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As the Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our core product. This position is hands-on, research-intensive, and focuses on developing state-of-the-art algorithms for drone swarm intelligence.
Your work will directly contribute to improving capabilities in object detection & tracking, SLAM, 3D scene reconstruction and other CV based approaches, ensuring the swarm operates with precision and adaptability.
🚀 WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Conduct advanced research on novel approaches in computer vision and machine learning to enhance drone swarm capabilities.
- Develop and optimize neural networks for object detection, tracking, and classification in real-time.
- Create robust CV systems for dynamic and decentralized drone operations.
- Collaborate with the team to integrate CV/ML algorithms into existing software products and edge devices.
- Evaluate and fine-tune models for real-world deployment in diverse and challenging scenarios.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and propose scalable solutions.
📌 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience: 5+ years in computer vision and machine learning, with a focus on hands-on algorithm development and research.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in neural network frameworks (e.g.,PyTorch, JAX).
- Proficiency in image processing techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of photogrammetry, 3D geometry, epipolar geometry etc.
- Proven experience in object detection, tracking, image retrieval, image segmentation, visual localization and/or mapping and other ML/CV challenges.
- Strong programming skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAV technologies, autonomous systems, or swarm robotics will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive research from an idea to the production-ready solutions.
- English B2+.
PREFFERED SKILLS:
- Experience with real-time processing and low-latency systems.
- Familiarity with drone platforms, hardware, and edge computing.
- Background in robotics (control theory, working with sensors and filters).
- Productization of ML models at industrial scale.
- Experience in optimizing and deploying ML models to edge devices.
