We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join us as part of our team.

About the role

You will join the project for a U.S. real estate company that is building next-generation solutions to enhance rental services and customer communication. The core feature integrates a VoIP phone system with a real-time audio-to-audio AI model, allowing users to have natural voice conversations with the assistant.

The team has already delivered an MVP of an AI-powered voice assistant.

The project is entering a crucial phase: scaling features, stabilizing performance, and preparing the product for broader use.

The initial solution has been implemented (MVP). We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to take ownership of this feature. This is a high-impact role requiring independence, problem-solving, and end-to-end delivery.

Technologies: Python, Django, Django ORM, OpenAI, Pipecat, Twilio, Fast API, Websockets, REST API

As a qualified expert, You will

• review the existing codebase
• developing additional functionality within our Django application and phone system (feature scaling)
• Planned Functionality (for start, not limited):
  — Internal and client-facing dashboards for metric reporting
  — Maintenance suite (handle work orders and maintenance requests from apartment residents)
  — Additional language support for the phone system
  — Creating an automated testing framework for our automation, phone, and client-facing UIs
• overall code optimization and refactoring, support.

We’re looking for you if you have

• 6+ years of professional experience in Python development
• Solid experience with Django and FastAPI
• Strong understanding of WebSockets
• Proven expertise in integrating third-party services and REST APIs
• Basic prompt engineering skills
• Demonstrated ability to debug and stabilize complex systems
• Experience with microservice architecture design and implementation
• Understanding of asynchronous programming (AsyncIO)
• Experience working with Celery or similar task queues
• Familiarity with SQL
• Basic DevOps skills (being able to set up CI/CD, dockerize an application, configure necessary services in AWS)

Nice to have

• Experience integrating with VoIP phone providers such as Twilio
• Experience with real-time audio-to-audio AI models
