Product Owner — Business Intelligence (вакансія неактивна)

At product company SpaceWhale, we are seeking a Product Owner with strong expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) and proven experience in the financial/trading/banking/fintech domains. You will own the BI product roadmap, working closely with customers’ stakeholders, success managers, customer support, data engineers, and product owners of other solutions to build data-driven products that empower decision-making, regulatory compliance, and strategic trading, marketing, and sales insights.

As the Product Owner, you will translate complex business requirements into actionable BI solutions, apply hands-on data analysis experience with SQL to uncover data patterns, read and analyze API documentation and data structures, contribute to the vision of the BI features design and technical capabilities, contribute to the documentation, and assist Customer Support with complex request troubleshooting before the engagement of data engineers. You will ensure delivery aligns with business value, customer needs, and compliance standards. Non-standard or complex features may need proper pricing quotation and ETA analysis in line with Customer Success rhythm and processes.

As the Product Owner, you will manage:

• BI & Reporting Features — delivery of insightful dashboards, flexible reporting layers, and compliance-ready analytics.
• Programmable Data Replicas — data feeds and pipelines that securely supply information to external providers, partners, and clients.
• Data Features for CRM — calculated data services enriching the CRM ecosystem, such as client scoring, campaign scoring, segmentation, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Roadmap:
  
  • Define and maintain the BI product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, and ROI.
• Stakeholder Management:
  
  • Together with the Customer Success Team, act as the bridge between business stakeholders (trading, risk, compliance, finance, executive teams) and the development squad.
  • Capture business needs and translate them into user stories and BI requirements.
• Backlog Ownership:
  
  • Create, refine, and prioritize backlog items (features, epics, user stories).
  • Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with sprint goals.
• Delivery & Execution:
  
  • Work closely with data engineers to deliver dashboards, data models, and reporting.
  • Support QA/UAT processes by validating data accuracy and business relevance.
  • Instill proper data quality processes on the client’s side together with the Customer Success Team
  • Ensure BI solutions scale across multiple geographies, assist with compute resources management and allocation together with DevOps team.
• Continuous Improvement:
  
  • Gather user feedback, track adoption, and measure KPIs for BI product performance.
  • Champion a data-driven culture across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:
Must-Have:

• 4+ years of Product Owner or Product Manager experience in BI / Data Analytics projects.
• 2+ years of experience in the Financial Services domain.
• Hands-on knowledge of BI/analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
• Solid experience with SQL, data warehousing, and ETL/data pipelines.
• Ability to write basic SQL queries to analyze data sources and find data patterns.
• Excellent stakeholder management, prioritization, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Strong understanding of Forex instruments (Spot, Forwards, Options, CFDs), margin/leverage mechanics, funding fees, liquidity providers, and risk models.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance reporting (MiFID, EMIR).
• Agile/Scrum certification (CSPO, PSPO).
