The Analysts within the Observability area will help product teams use data to make better informed decisions. We are looking for an analyst to join our team and take ownership of ad hoc analysis and reporting across SimCorp’s entire offer line.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in various query languages and be able to use data visualization tools to clearly communicate recommendations/findings to varying levels of stakeholder. The scope of the role will expand over time, covering elements of analytics engineering, data analysis, and experimentation. The Analyst within Observability is relatively new, so you should be comfortable with high-levels of ambiguity, and excited by tackling large data challenges!
Role and responsibilities will include:
— Working with relevant (internal) customers to define appropriate (input) metrics for their products.
— Triage ad hoc requests for analysis. This will include liaising with customers to understand questions they are seeking to answer.
— Carrying out in depth analysis related to customer’s questions or observed changes in metric behaviour; whilst providing results in clear, actionable ways to key stakeholders (using the most appropriate available tooling).
— Proactively work with other analysts across the organization to identify areas of opportunity for improvement and to drive analytics initiatives.
— Empowering teams to self-serve data/insights through development in our Observability tooling (Azure Dashboards, PowerBI, Grafana, Kibana etc).
What we’re looking for:
— Analysis will typically involve using some of the following (previous experience desirable): SQL, Python, ProQL (Prometheus), Query DSL (ELK), Grafana, Kibana, Azure AppInsights.
— Demonstrable experience generating insights from data, preferably working as a data analyst.
— Applying data analysis techniques and mathematical methods to complex problems
