We are currently seeking a proactive, ambitious Project manager who will join our talent Engineering team.

What will be expected of you in this position:

Our company provides engineering consultancy services worldwide, primarily in the EU. Typically, our projects follow the waterfall methodology; however, Agile and Hybrid approaches are also possible. As a Project Manager (PM), your primary goal in this position will be to ensure the success of the projects. Given that these are engineering-based projects, having a technical background in engineering, construction, or a related field would be an advantage.

To facilitate project success, you will work closely with the Engineering Manager, who will keep you updated on the actual project statuses, translating technical information into something more accessible. This will help you with your main responsibilities.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Making Projects Successful (ensure that all project goals are achieved, projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining high client satisfaction and supporting the engineering team’s personal development goals)

Planning (setting of project goals and determining the best way to achieve them, including identifying the client’s problem, outlining the solution, defining the project scope, and creating a project plan)

Organization (allocating resources i.e. people, equipment, and money to carry out the plans: involve relevant engineers in the project, equipment, software etc. to make sure the plans will be achieved)

Direct (provide a focus for employees and motivate them to achieve organizational goals: check on regular basis that the actual project status is in line with the planning, engineers are focused on their tasks, no issues occurred etc. otherwise find the way to solve it / help them)

Control (controlling involves comparing actual to expected performance and taking corrective action, when necessary, e.g. revise the scope, planning or budget to ensure that project goals can be met and it can be successful)

Communication with the clients (planning, project status, project changes, project deliverables, customer satisfaction)

Status Reporting (make sure that the client is aware of the actual status especially if it’s changed compared to the agreed planning)

Risk management (identify, evaluate, track, and improve the risk mitigation process over the projects)

Jira & PM software (creating and maintaining projects in Jira from start to finish; ensuring that hours spent by Team members are logged in Jira; measuring efficiency/performance; all project scope, project planning, workload, time-tracking, results measurements should be managed within Jira software and other PM tools)

Project documentation (ensure that project documentation is properly developed, saved, and backed up)

Report project outcomes (prepare and deliver intermediate monthly reports on the project status during its execution and upon its completion)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experienced Project Manager (PM) with 2+ years of strong project management experience
• Technical background in civil / mechanical engineering, construction, or a related field is a must
• Clear knowledge of basic PM principles and the ability to apply them in practice
• Experience in managing teams with 10+ members
• Experience in managing several projects simultaneously, including both smaller (a few weeks) and larger projects (up to a year)
• Knowledge of Jira software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• English level B2 or higher

Skills and Qualifications that would be an Advantage:

• Knowledge of various PM tools (preferably compatible with Jira software) that facilitate overall progress
• Familiarity with finite element calculations/software like Femap, Ansys, RFEM, etc.
• Professional certification in project management
• Strong presentation skills
