Nortal is looking for an experienced Senior Kotlin/Java Developer, who will become a part of the TUI project with a truly unique and differentiated customer experience.
About client
Our client, TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops.
Your mission
- Work with the solution architect to design technical solutions and contribute to architecture
- Work with tech lead to select appropriate technologies and tools to achieve scalable and maintainable solutions
- Work with dev team to deliver solutions compliant with best practices and industry standards
- Work with tech lead to develop and maintain backend solutions
- Writing unit and integration tests for prepared solutions and performing load/performance tests if needed
- Creating and maintaining Terraform modules for AWS components, compliant with security standards
- Creating and maintaining GitLab CI scripts to support CI/CD pipelines and various internal integrations
- Preparing testing framework to generate automated tests from BDD stories to verify acceptance criteria
- Create and update documentation of released services
Requirements
- High experience in developing microservice architecture in JVM ecosystem using AWS cloud solutions
- Senior level knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin language in modern software development (preferably Java 17)
- Knowledge of reactive development is mandatory (preferably WebFlux or Mutiny)
- Experience with set up and usage of highly scalable cloud environments and according technologies (e.g. Lambdas, SQS, Fargate, ECS)
- Ideally high level of experience with containerized environments/solutions (e.g. EKS, ECS) and infrastructure as code (e.g. using Terraform)
- Good experience with CI/CD setups using GitLab CI or comparable tools
- Good communication skills in English; experience in working within international and remote teams is a plus
- A good knowledge and experience of Agile, Scrum and Jira would also benefit the candidate
