Our partner (igaming company) is looking for a strong leader to join our Legal Department. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual who is ambitious and enjoys working with senior management on further business development in a fast-paced and agile environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Heads the legal strategy of the company and provides guidance on corporate governance to accomplish business goals, strategies and priorities
- Manages licensing, general legal and data protection units as well as external service providers
- Oversees contractual commitments of the company as well as manages transparent and streamlined cooperation with external providers
- Oversees and manages resources in the Legal team
- Identifies and assesses legal risks to the business, recommending and implementing solutions where needed
- Advises senior management on legal implications of business decisions and changes to the business
- Assists and provides advice on handling customer complaints
- Handles all legal proceedings involving the entities (main area — consumer protection)
- Participates in the processes of drafting and formalizing of internal and external legal documents
- In cooperation with compliance team ensures that the company is compliant with legal requirements attached to its licenses in the jurisdictions of operations
- Supervises and manages the process of application for licenses in various jurisdictions
- Provides input into training delivered to staff to ensure understanding of the applicable legislations
- Provides advice and input on legal issues at various established Committees of the company
REQUIREMENTS
- At least Bachelor’s degree in law
- 3+ iGaming related work experience essential
- 5+ years experience on Head of Legal position or similar
- Fluent English language
- Exceptional team work skills
- High attention to detail and responsibility level
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
