On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region, Mobilunity is looking for a Front-End Technical Lead for a long-term engagement.

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to transform this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech has to offer.

We’re looking for a Front-End Technical Lead to guide our team in building scalable, secure, and high-performing client-facing applications.
You’ll combine hands-on React.js development, architecture, and team leadership, driving technical direction and excellence across projects.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the front-end architecture and technical vision
• Collaborate with Backend and DevOps teams on AWS-based solutions
• Maintain code quality, establish best practices, and oversee code reviews
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (unit, integration, e2e)
• Ensure security and authentication best practices
• Mentor developers and promote continuous improvement
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver business-ready features

Requirements:

• 5+ years in front-end development, 2+ years in a lead role
• Expert in React.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture
• Strong experience with AWS (S3, CloudFront, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway)
• Solid knowledge of testing automation, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, fastlane)
• Proven understanding of security, authentication, and performance optimization
• At least Upper-intermediate English level
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with React Native
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK)
• Experience working in related domains (banking, fintech, healthcare, etc.)
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud environments
