We are looking for a talented and experienced UI/UX Design Lead to join our Product Department. As a UI/UX Design Lead you will be at the forefront of creating intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centered designs for our FinTech products. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our products deliver a seamless and engaging user experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct user interviews and surveys to identify the key challenges and motivations users face during the loan application process
- Analyse user behavior at various touchpoints in the customer journey to inform design improvements (e.g., loan application form, document submission)
- Develop personas and user journey maps to visually represent different customer segments and their interactions with the service
- Conduct usability testing (remote/in-person) to evaluate how real users interact with loan application forms, dashboards, and other interfaces
- Create low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes based on research findings
- Test different design iterations with users to optimise the loan application process and reduce friction (e.g., simplifying form fields, improving navigation)
- Provide clear and actionable recommendations for design improvements based on usability test results
- Collect feedback from customers post-loan to understand their experience and areas of improvement
- Conduct A/B tests to compare different design versions (e.g., changes to loan application layout or button placement) and determine which performs best
- Define key UX metrics (e.g., usability score, task success rate, user satisfaction) to measure the effectiveness of design changes
- Track long-term improvements in user engagement, loyalty, and retention based on enhanced user experience
- Iterate on designs based on continuous monitoring and feedback from users, ensuring a cycle of ongoing optimisation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable
- 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in a FinTech or product-focused environment
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Sketch
- Strong skills in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Experience in conducting user research, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing
- Experience in designing responsive interfaces for various devices (web, mobile, tablet)
- A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices in UX design
- Ability to solve complex design challenges with a balance of creativity and practicality
- A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, user research insights, and final designs for web and mobile products

- A strong sense of empathy and user advocacy, with a passion for solving user problems through design
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and feedback in a fast-paced environment
Expected results:
- Define and document a unified approach to UI/UX design across MD Fin products, aligned with FinTech industry best practices
- Conduct a comprehensive UI/UX audit of existing designs to identify gaps and areas for improvement
- Deliver end-to-end design for a new product, including customer interviews, prototyping, user testing, and final design integration
