About the Project
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be part of a Fintech project, that is developing a modern, cloud-based data platform that serves as the backbone of its data-driven decision-making.
The platform consolidates, transforms, and analyzes large volumes of financial and operational data to provide a single, trustworthy source of truth for analytics, reporting, and automation.
Must-have for the position
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or BI Developer
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with data modeling (dimensional and relational)
- Proficiency in modern data warehouses (preferably Snowflake)
- Experience with data orchestration and transformation tools (Airflow, dbt, or Meltano)
- Good understanding of AWS and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
- Ability to design scalable and efficient data pipelines
- Excellent communication skills — ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Will be a strong plus
- Experience in regulated or FinTech environments
- Understanding of compliance and reporting requirements within financial services
- Familiarity with Fivetran or other ingestion tools
- Knowledge of stream processing, message queuing, and big data concepts
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data flows in Snowflake
- Build and document data transformations using dbt or Meltano
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and traceability through validation, monitoring, and documentation
- Develop scalable and secure data architectures supporting current and future needs
- Collaborate with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into sustainable data solutions
- Identify and implement improvements to increase automation and efficiency
- Perform root cause analysis on data and processes to optimize data performance and integrity
- Support cross-functional teams in leveraging data for business impact
Team Composition:
You’ll work within a squad of 2 Data Engineers in the international team.
Working conditions
Work schedule: Central European business hours overlap;
Engagement: long-term, full-time;
Fully Remote: This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere.
