The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced DevOps Technical Lead to provide essential technical leadership and expert guidance in infrastructure and platform engineering, supporting our Virtual Data Room product line of business.

In this role, you will collaborate with our highly skilled DevOps team, contribute to observing technical solutions, propose and implement best practices across VDR Engineering, and foster the professional growth of our DevOps Engineers as we actively scale. You will report to the Director of Engineering — Oleksii Zagorodnii.

We are looking for someone based in Ukraine or Poland.

What You Will Do:

  • Work with a team of 6 DevOps Engineers, supporting their Personal Development Plans, participating in new team members hiring and evaluating when necessary
  • Guide the implementation and continuous refinement of DevOps strategies and best practices across the organization while nurturing a DevOps culture
  • Design, modernize, and continuously improve the engineering platform, including CI\CD, Observability, and FinOps concerns
  • Collaborate with Architects on researching matters in-depth, create and manage technical debt backlog
  • Implement and exercise disaster recovery scenarios with product teams
  • Implement security measures in close collaboration with the iDeals security team
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, services, and technologies to enable agility and continuous improvement in software delivery

What We Look For:

  • 7+ years of experience in the DevOps area, with a proven track record as a DevOps Team/Tech Lead or a DevOps Architect
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, process principles, and components (GitLab or other tools)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana
  • Experience in professional development of the DevOps team (supporting technical expertise, knowledge sharing, PDP creation, and participation in the hiring/onboarding process)
  • In-depth understanding of performance metrics
  • Experience in conducting performance audits, identifying bottlenecks, trade-off analysis
  • Knowledge of a wide range of security practices and measures
  • Proficiency in English at the Upper-Intermediate (B2+) level

  • DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator)
  • Experience as an active community of practice member with strong presentation and facilitation skills
