We are looking for an experienced Django Engineer to join an American Medical startup backed by Venture Capital.

Our client develops a flexible medical platform designed to provide patients continuity of care regardless of location or healthcare. The company’s platform collaborates with thought-leading clinicians and basic science researchers to develop and market devices and algorithms, providing users with increased access to multiple disease diagnoses and treatments. This is a collaborative, small company environment where everyone is driving toward the same vision and your impact will be felt immediately.

To be successful here, you will need to have at least 5+ years of experience in web development and cloud software experience. Our top tier of candidate would be someone who had previously worked in a wearable medical device company, and strong experience in an entrepreneurial environment, with previous healthcare applications experience. We also will be curious about your ability to work independently to solve complex issues as the startup environment may not offer the levels of support some may be accustomed to at market leading companies.

What you will be doing:

• Lead development of a cloud-based backend software for increasing care between patients and physicians.
• Develop system architecture of cloud infrastructure including protocol design and services implementation.
• Assisting in documentation and verification of software.

What you must have:

• BS in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of professional experience building web applications.
• Proficient in Python Language and Django framework
• Experience with SQL Databases (Postgres Preferred)
• Experience AWS cloud services including S3, ECS, Lambda and RDS
• Experience writing web APIs (REST, GraphQL)
• Experience developing web applications with ReactJS preferably
• Working knowledge of Terraform
• English level B2+

Nice-to-have Qualifications.

• Understanding of IOT communication protocols and higher-level networking (HTTP, MQTT)
• Experience within a regulated industry (Medical preferred, Aerospace, Automotive)
• Experience with building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with medical EMR communication systems such as HL7 or FHIR
