About the Role/Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Head of Data (Engineering, AI/ML) to lead the team responsible for preparing high-quality image and video datasets for our machine learning and computer vision products.
You will lead a team of engineers and data operations specialists working on data preparation, annotation, validation, and dataset quality assurance across tens of millions of images. A key part of the role is scaling our data processing workflows, improving internal annotation and validation tools, and turning manual or semi-manual processes into reliable, automated data pipelines.
Working closely with machine learning engineers and international teams, you will help ensure our datasets support the development and continuous improvement of state-of-the-art computer vision systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data operations specialists responsible for large-scale dataset preparation and quality.
- Own and evolve the end-to-end data pipeline used for training, testing, benchmarking, and evaluating computer vision models.
- Build and scale the data infrastructure and automated pipelines that power dataset generation, validation, and delivery for machine learning systems.
- Drive the transition from manual dataset operations to scalable, AI-assisted and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Lead the development of internal platforms and tools used to manage dataset quality, annotation workflows, validation, and large-scale dataset operations.
- Define and track key metrics for dataset quality and operational performance, and continuously improve workflows in collaboration with ML engineers and product teams.
Requirements
Must have:
- Experience leading technical teams with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience designing, building, or operating data processing systems, pipelines, or platforms.
- Background in software engineering or data engineering or ML operations, or computer vision, or related technical areas, including experience developing internal tools or services.
- Strong understanding of data quality management, validation workflows, operational metrics, and scalable process design.
- Familiarity with machine learning data preparation workflows, including human-in-the-loop processes combining automated predictions with expert review.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working in Linux environments and using tools such as Git, workflow orchestrators (e.g., Airflow), and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Ability to balance automation and operational efficiency with dataset quality, consistency, and traceability.
- Professional English.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of machine learning model evaluation workflows and dataset impact on model performance.
- Experience with AI-assisted annotation or auto-labeling systems.
- Experience training or evaluating computer vision models (e.g., CNNs).
- Experience building internal tools or services using backend frameworks (e.g., Django, FastAPI) and modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
- Experience with Docker, shell scripting, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience working with distributed data processing systems.
What we offer
- Experience in highly innovative product development.
- Work in one team with video analytics industry leaders on real-world projects.
- Non-standard and creative tasks.
- A dynamic, challenging, and creative environment for work and self-study.
- Experience working with global leaders in the security industry.
- Competitive salary.
- Warm and friendly atmosphere.
