Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable backend services within a microservices environment
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Mentor and support developers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Drive improvements in reliability, performance, and observability across distributed systems.
• Define and manage CI/CD automation, testing strategies, and cloud infrastructure (AWS and Google Cloud).
• Champion software quality, security, and maintainability through best practices and modern frameworks.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of professional experience building and scaling backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and at least one additional programming language (Rust, C#, C++, Java, etc.).
• Deep understanding of microservices architectures, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and system integration.
• Strong background in cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Firebase) and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with data processing or streaming frameworks (Apache Beam experience is a plus).
• Fluent English communication skills; German proficiency is considered an advantage.
