About the Role

As a Product Owner at DICEUS, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of cutting-edge insurance technology solutions, including mobile apps for insurance companies, brokers, MGAs, TPAs, as well as web-based group insurance administration platforms and policy administration systems. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, product development, and hands-on implementation to ensure successful client adoption and continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:
• Experience in designing and managing enterprise-grade backend systems (scalable, secure, high-performance) is essential.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Define and manage project scope, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Allocate resources efficiently and effectively to meet project goals.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet specified standards.
• Track project timelines and milestones, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on schedule.
• Provide regular project status reports to leadership and stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing challenges.
• Manage client expectations, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with project goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes.
• Lead project closure activities, conduct project evaluations, and document lessons learned for future projects.
• Proficient in scenario planning to anticipate potential project challenges and develop strategies for effective mitigation.

Product Ownership and Value Delivery :
• Experience or strong interest in transitioning into or combining responsibilities of a Product Owner role.
• Understanding of product lifecycle, business goals, customer needs, and value-driven delivery.
• Ability to own and manage the product backlog: define, refine, and prioritize requirements based on business value.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and business teams to gather product requirements, clarify objectives, and validate assumptions.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
• Support roadmap planning and feature prioritization, focusing on maximizing ROI and product impact.
• Ability to analyze market trends, competitor solutions, and user feedback to support informed product decisions.
• Promote a product mindset within the team, ensuring alignment between delivery activities and business outcomes.
• Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring developed solutions meet real user needs.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Project\product management, preferably in insurance, fintech, or SaaS-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry processes, including policy administration, claims handling, and customer engagement.
  • Experience managing mobile applications and web platforms.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Previous experience working with brokers, MGAs, TPAs, and insurance carriers.
  • Knowledge of API integrations and third-party insurance software solutions.
  • Understanding of insurance compliance and regulatory frameworks.
