About Cloudaware

Cloudaware is a cloud management and CMDB platform serving enterprise organizations with significant cloud footprints. Founded 13 years ago, we’ve grown to nearly 50 employees across two primary engineering centers. Our platform, built on Salesforce with a Google Cloud backend, helps organizations assess and remediate gaps in their cloud management programs through deep integrations with leading security and observability tools.

We have built a suite of proprietary security and DevOps products — including vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, patch management, identity management, log management, Breeze (our enterprise DevOps fabric with 100+ integrations), and TunHub (reverse IPsec tunnel service). These products are technically powerful. The opportunity in front of us is to transform them from internal capabilities into market-leading, revenue-generating products.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially-minded product leader who can take ownership of our security and DevOps product portfolio and drive its growth — in terms of revenue, customer adoption, and market positioning.

This is not a purely engineering leadership role. The right person combines strong product strategy with a commercial instinct: they understand how B2B SaaS products are sold, adopted, and retained — and they know how to close the gap between “technically excellent” and “market-winning”.

The Challenge

Our Ukrainian engineering team of 7 senior engineers has built powerful modules that often function as standalone capabilities rather than a cohesive, integrated product suite. The modules lack the deep CMDB integration that our third-party integrations achieve, and they have not been positioned or packaged for maximum market impact.

Your mission is to change that — by building a product vision, defining go-to-market strategy, driving integration depth with our core CMDB platform, and creating the commercial conditions for these products to compete and win.

How you structure the relationship with the engineering team is flexible. You may choose to lead the team directly, or work with an Engineering Manager who handles day-to-day people management — what matters is that product vision, roadmap, and commercialization are firmly in your ownership.

What You’ll Do

Product Commercialization & Revenue Growth

  • Own the commercial performance of the security and DevOps product portfolio: revenue, adoption rates, expansion within existing accounts, and new revenue opportunities
  • Define pricing, packaging, and positioning for each module — translating technical capabilities into compelling value propositions for enterprise buyers
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Technical Account Managers to enable effective positioning and close feedback loops from the market
  • Identify and prioritize build-vs-buy decisions based on market demand, competitive landscape, and strategic fit
  • Track and improve key commercial metrics: ARR contribution, adoption rates, time-to-value, churn, and customer satisfaction

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop a comprehensive product roadmap for the security and DevOps portfolio, grounded in customer pain points, market research, and Cloudaware’s strategic direction
  • Transform individual modules into a cohesive, market-leading product suite with clear differentiation and deep CMDB integration
  • Define the integration strategy that closes the gap between Ukrainian-built modules and the integration depth of third-party products
  • Create business cases for investment — balancing short-term revenue opportunities with long-term platform differentiation

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Build a strong working relationship with the Ukrainian engineering team — earning technical credibility and helping engineers understand the “why” behind product decisions
  • Act as the primary bridge between the Ukrainian team and our Budapest-based CMDB and backend team (40+ people)
  • Navigate technical disagreements around API design, integration patterns, and architectural decisions with a focus on customer and commercial outcomes
  • Work with Budapest Technical Account Managers to translate customer feedback into product requirements

Team & Organizational Leadership

  • Define how the Ukrainian engineering team is led — whether through direct management or in partnership with an Engineering Manager
  • Help engineers understand the commercial context of their work and develop a product ownership mindset
  • Create career development paths that respect engineers’ technical preferences while expanding their product impact
  • Scale the team as product complexity and commercial ambitions grow

What You Bring

Required

  • 5+ years in product management or product leadership in B2B SaaS, with direct ownership of product revenue or commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrated track record of commercializing technical products — taking products from “working” to “market-winning”: pricing, positioning, GTM, adoption
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and understanding their buying, adoption, and renewal dynamics
  • Ability to define product strategy and roadmap in technically complex domains
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — ability to influence engineers, sales, and C-suite without direct authority over all of them
  • Experience navigating distributed, cross-cultural teams and building productive collaboration across geographies

Strongly Preferred

  • Background in cloud security, DevOps, or infrastructure software — familiarity with vulnerability management, SIEM, patch management, or similar domains
  • Experience with Salesforce platform or building products on Salesforce
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and/or Russian — highly valued for team rapport and cultural alignment with the Ukrainian engineering team
  • Experience leading organizational change in technical teams
  • Familiarity with enterprise CMDB, ITSM, or cloud management platforms

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days

  • Deep understanding of all seven product modules — their technical capabilities, integration gaps, and competitive positioning
  • First commercial assessment: which modules have the highest revenue potential and what’s blocking it
  • Established working relationships with Ukrainian engineers, Budapest team leadership, and key customer-facing stakeholders
  • Initial roadmap priorities defined based on commercial value and strategic fit

First Year

  • At least two modules repositioned or repackaged with measurable impact on adoption or revenue
  • Clear pricing and packaging framework across the portfolio
  • Meaningful improvement in integration depth between Ukrainian modules and the core CMDB platform
  • Established collaboration rhythms between Ukrainian and Budapest teams
  • Measurable growth in ARR contribution from the security and DevOps portfolio

Long Term

  • Security and DevOps modules become a meaningful and growing revenue line for Cloudaware
  • Products compete effectively against standalone security vendors in the context of CMDB-enriched enterprise environments
  • Team operates with genuine product ownership mindset

Practical Details

• Location: Remote, EU based• Team: 7 senior engineers (remote across Ukraine)• Travel: Periodic travel to meet with team members and attend company gatherings

  • • Compensation: Competitive for senior product leadership role, includes potential performance bonus tied to product success
  • • Key relationship: Budapest team (40+ people)
  • • Reports to: Founder/CEO

How to Apply

If you are energized by the challenge of taking technically powerful products to market, building bridges across distributed teams, and owning the commercial success of a security and DevOps product portfolio — we’d love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume along with a cover letter addressing:

  • A specific example of a B2B SaaS product you commercialized — what was your role, what did you change, and what was the measurable outcome
  • Your approach to pricing and positioning a technical product for enterprise buyers
  • How you have worked with engineering teams to align technical execution with commercial priorities
  • Why this particular opportunity appeals to you

Note: This role is for a product and commercial leader, not a people manager by default. If you have strong commercial product experience but have not managed large engineering teams directly — we encourage you to apply and describe how you would approach the team structure.
