Senior/Middle DevOps Engineers (Krakow / Kosice, hybrid)

At Bluefield Technologies, we’re developing an innovative SDN prototype that’s never been done before. We’re looking for Senior and Middle DevOps Engineers to help us build smarter, more efficient solutions for enterprise network management.

Work Location: Poland (Krakow), Slovakia (Kosice).

Hybrid: 2+ days per week in the office, the rest remote.

What’s the Project About?

Your job will involve working on prototype projects — on something, that no one has ever done before.

You will make sure that telcos, data centers, or ISPs stay up-to-date on latest technologies and in the end, contribute to a faster, more interconnected world.

You might also end up contributing to open-source projects and upholding to principles of open coding and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and modification of Helm charts according to team/project needs
  • Analysis of requirements and preparation of technical solutions at Kubernetes level
  • Support in architecture preparation
  • Providing information to the team regarding containerization/kubernetes
  • Management of development and testing Kubernetes clusters (k3d)
  • Troubleshooting within deployments
  • Management of CI processes (Gerrit + Jenkins) + artifact builds (Nexus)
  • Automation of deployment processes
  • Interaction with client teams and DevOps teams
  • Interaction with IT team for infrastructure preparation
  • Management of CI processes (Github Workflows)
  • Automation of CD process (GitOps utilizing ArgoCD)
  • Create and maintain clear documentation

Requirements & Skills

  • 3-5+ years of proven DevOps experience in a software development environment
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • Experience with: git, YAML/JSON, Ansible and Helm
  • Linux administration knowledge (Ubuntu, Debian)
  • Networking knowledge (basics of L2/L3 networks, L4/L7 load balancing)
  • Knowledge of TLS concept and certification management
  • Experience with networking software and telco data center environments is a big advantage
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Kubernetes: Creating and updating manifests, helm charts and managing application lifecycle

As a plus

  • Further experience considered as an advantage:
  • Knowledge of cloud-native principles
  • Experience with gRPC communication and Service Mesh (Istio)
  • Experience with password management/sensitive information (Secret management)
  • Knowledge of Maven and helmfile
  • Experience with GitOps
  • Understanding of Kubernetes operator concept
  • Experience with Docker (+ docker compose) and Kubernetes

Language skills

English: Upper intermediate (B2)
