About the project: Currently, we’re on the lookout for a proficient and seasoned QA Engineer to become part of our team and aid in the testing of a data modeling and schema design application. This software serves various NoSQL databases, storage formats, REST APIs, and JSON in RDBMS, streamlining data management and schema handling. We’re seeking candidates with a solid technical foundation, particularly in software testing and quality assurance.

Stack: Node.js/Electron, React/Redux, SCSS, Testcafe, Cypress, Mocha, GitHub, GitBook, TeamCity, JIRA, XRAY.

The team: Internal structure: 9 engineers, 1 QA engineer, AM. On the client side: 2 architects, 1 BA

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive testing with a deep understanding of the specific challenges and intricacies involved
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test reports, checklists, tests inventory and feature description
• Provide informative test summary reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects and issues
• Working with incomplete requirements, tension and the ability to look for missing puzzle parts communicating with team
• Maintain & evolve QA Process according to business needs
• Responsibility and great time-management skills.

Talent you’ll bring into our team:

• At least 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a focus on desktop & web testing
• Strong understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases (CRUD operations, DDL, DML) is must have
• Solid understanding of SDLC & STLC, experience working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong skills in creation of Test Documentation (including Test Strategies & Test Plans)
• Excellent Test Design skills
• Experience working with test-case design tools, like: XRAY, TestRail etc.
• Understanding JSON, YAML, CSV formats
• Knowledge of DDL and DML
• Familiarity with GIT and Docker basics
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with at least one cloud provider: AWS, GCP, Azure.

Will be a plus:

• Familiarity with data modeling and schema design, along with experience in testing applications interacting with databases;
• Good knowledge and experience with various database, storage technologies, and API designs
