Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js/Angular & AWS Serverless)

We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node.js/Angular & AWS Serverless) on behalf of our client — a specialized German consulting firm focused on the energy and financial markets.

Our client provides high-end advisory and technology services, helping their partners navigate the complexities of energy trading, risk management, and digital transformation. Their work combines deep industry-specific expertise with a commitment to high-quality software engineering. We are building a large-scale cloud-based portal in the energy domain, focused on digitalizing end-to-end processes for renewable energy management.

Requirements:

Frontend Expertise:

• 3+ years of professional experience with Angular.
• Strong proficiency in Angular Material.
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Solid experience with Angular Change Detection strategies.
• Expertise in HTML5 and CSS3 / SCSS.

Backend & Cloud:

• Several years of backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Critical: Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless architecture.
• Proven experience with core AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, Cognito, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Serverless Framework or AWS CloudFormation.

DevOps & Infrastructure:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, with a preference for Azure DevOps.
• Experience in deployment and release management.
• Strong understanding of system monitoring and troubleshooting.

Integrations & Domain Knowledge:

• Experience working with REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications.
• Knowledge of OAuth and various authentication flows.
• Experience with OpenSearch or similar search/analytics tools.
• Highly Desirable: Previous experience in Energy, Utilities, or Trading domains.

Responsibilities

• Full-stack Development: Develop and maintain end-to-end functionality using Angular and AWS Serverless.
• Backend Engineering: Build and scale backend services leveraging AWS Lambda.
• API Design: Design and implement robust REST APIs based on OpenAPI standards.
• DevOps Integration: Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee deployments, proactive monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure high code quality through clean code practices, thorough code reviews, and testing.
• Agile Collaboration: Work effectively within Agile DevOps teams, maintaining end-to-end ownership of the product.
